The new 208B and 352B multi-target test systems offer higher DUT/sq. foot rations and lower overall cost per test port than traditional 1-to-1 test systems. Based on the venerable Flexstar 104B chassis, the 208B is a 2:1 test system for 2.5” drives and the 352B is a 4:1 test system for 1” or 1.8” form-factor drives. The new high-bandwidth SBC (single board computer) and new NPM II power margin module enable multi-target testing with miminal increase in test time. Combined with Flexstar’s powerful and easy to use test software, the 208B and 352B are complete turn-key burn-in test solutions that install easily with an electrical connection.

The 208B and 352B multi-target test systems feature all new test electronics including the new SBC and new NPM II power margining module. With its 64-bit, 66Mhz PCI-X2.2 expansion slot, the Flexstar SBC and NPM support the newest generation of storage devices at full speed. The versatile NPM II power module has higher current output and superior accuracy than its predecessor, yet has lower heat dissipation.

Software

Flexstar’s Java-based host software has the strong multi-thread capability needed to reliably support 2:1 and 4:1 testing. Tests can be started, stopped, paused, resumed, etc. on one or any number of tester slots in the same manner as with Flexstar’s 1:1 test systems. Remote access, oven synchronization, power margining control, and powerful graphing features for real time analysis or parametric test data are just a few of the standard features of Flexstar’s test software.
