Founded in 1981 to repair disk drives, FLEXSTAR TECHNOLOGY had established itself as an industry innovator by becoming the first non-captive supplier of storage test systems.  Since introducing the industry’s first commercially available hard drive tester back in 1985, FLEXSTAR has continued to be a first mover in providing advanced testing solutions to the data storage industry.

Our focus is providing open architecture test solutions for design validation, quality & reliability, compliance & compatibility, and production applications.  With a product family that ranges from turnkey systems to components, FLEXSTAR has provided solutions to many of the leading hard disk drive manufacturers and PC OEMs.  Our experience across a wide customer base, and our ability to complement the efforts of our customer’s internal test organizations, allows us to tailor our solutions to specific customer requirements.
