Pegasus 104B
|
The Pegasus 104B is a complete turn-key burn-in test system that installs easily with an
electrical connection and offers 104 ports that can be independently configured. With
features that improve airflow and reduce vibration, the 104B provides a stable
environment for testing high TPI and RPM drives in your Design Validation, Quality &
Reliability, and burn-in applications.
Pegasus State-of-the-Art Architecture
The Pegasus test system supports the
enhanced speed and capacity requirements
of the newest generation of storage devices.
Designed with an open architecture, the
Pegasus platform addresses the market’s
need to test multiple interfaces with minimal
set-up time.
At the heart of the Pegasus system is an Intel
Celeron-based single board computer (SBC)
that supports UDMA, SCSI, FC-AL, ATAPI,
and SATA interfaces (plus more to come).
This open architecture design runs Flexstar’s
Orion and Perseus test software, including
customer-developed test cases written in
Java or C.
Features
- Easy to maintain shelf design for quick convers ion of interfaces and test electronics.
- Industry standard Pegasus single board computer (SBC) open architecture design.
- Insulated firewall isolates the electronics from the Devices Under Test.
- The 984C Watlow controller, alarms, and emergency shut-off switch are conveniently located.
- 100 Mb/s Ethernet connection to every port.
- Precise temperature control in DUT chamber up to 65C.
Software
Flexstar’s Perseus and Orion software provides easy script driven testing of peripheral storage
devices. Test scripts can be started, stopped, paused, resumed, etc. Flexstar software includes oven
synchronization, power margining control, and powerful graphing features for real time analysis of
parametric test data through the easy to use 025 GUI.
