FLEXSTAR is proud to introduce our new 2-to-1 and 4-to-1 multi-target systems for small form-factor drives. Utilizing a brand new generation of hardware and the strong multi-thread capability of FLEXSTAR’s Perseus test software, the venerable 104B burn-in tester can now accommodate 208 2.5” drives in a 2:1 configuration and 352 1” or 1.8” drives in a 4:1 configuration.
Multi-target architecture provides two great benefits: High DUT/sq. foot ratios maximize utilization of valuable floor space while at the same time overall cost per test port is greatly reduced compared to 1:1 systems. FLEXSTAR’s new multi-target systems have been named the 208B and the 352B respectively, reflective of the number of test ports the systems have. FLEXSTAR’s 60E environmental chamber can also be configured with 2:1 accommodating 120 2.5” drives. The new 2:1 version is called the 120E.
The power of the new Pegasus II single board computer (SBC) and the versatility of the new NPM II power margining module make 2:1 and 4:1 testing possible with only a small increase in test time. The Pegasus II is a 2.0GHz Celeron motherboard with a 64-bit, 66MHz PCI-X 2.2 expansion slot. The high-output NPM II power module provides programmable power plus highly accurate voltage and current read back for up to four single-voltage devices.
High density and lower cost per test port FLEXSTAR 208B, 352B and 120E systems are available now. Available interfaces include CF, CE-ATA, Flex-ATA, SATA, PATA and SAS. Additionally, your existing 104B and 60E systems can be upgraded to 2:1 or 4:1 with new Pegasus II / NPM II electronics at a cost that is substantially less than buying entirely new. A second, lower cost 2:1 upgrade option is also available for 104B and 60E systems with Pegasus electronics. In this scheme the system’s Pegasus I SBCs are retained to reduce the overall cost of the upgrade. |
